How to Get in Golf Shape - Part 7

So we have gotten you to the part where you unleash your energy and start downward with your golf swing. The next part is going to be the impact. This is the exciting part of the swing and the part where you will be unleashing your fury on the golf ball.

You need to stand tall and swing long through the impact. This will allow you to make the best possible contact and you will unleash all your energy into the ball and send it out into the fairway.

The first exercise for the impact is the wrist club lift. You will hold the club at your side in one hand and lift it with your wrist until it is straight out from your body. Do this 10-12 times with each arm. This will help strengthen your wrists and your grip and that will help you impact the ball with a more solid and powerful swing.

The second exercise for the impact is the weighted driver swing. You can do this by tying a towel around your driver and taking swings. This will create some resistance and will allow you to strengthen the muscles you are going to use to swing the golf club.

The last exercise for the impact is the wrist curl. You can do this with a barbell or curl bar in the seated position. Hold the weights in both hands with your forearms resting on your legs. Next, roll the weights out and back in with your hands. This is another exercise that will strengthen your grip and your wrists.

You are now through impact and we are on the home stretch. The next part that we will cover is the extension.
